Slalom Event Organiser History The Slalom Event Organiser for DOS. first saw the light of day at the Hambleden Weir Slalom in March 1984. Whilst all the print functions worked, the Leader Board Display for the paddlers was a damp squib as it failed to live up to it's name. By the next event the following month this was fixed. This was to show us that the only way to ensure the software package did what was wanted was to go out and test at event, more often not live, but alongside the normal organisation using the results cards as masters. The DOS version was to live until 2002, despite the rise of Windows PC's in the 90's. The windows version eventually saw the light of day in late 2002.
